Starting outlook in safe mode is suggested
when there is something wrong with outlook. In safe mode, outlook loads without
many of the customization files and add-ins loaded. If outlook works properly
in safe mode, then there is a problem in your add-ins or customization files.
You can use one of these methods
for starting outlook using a command line switch:
- Press control key and click on outlook shortcut.

The default
switch is /recycle, you can easily replace with /safe. Press Apply and then
double click on the shortcut to run it. When the outlook opens, replace safe with
recycled and click on OK.
